Yes. New seats and cupholders are on their way!

Why doesn’t the Theatre carry more first-run feature films as soon as they come out?

The film distribution system favors the owners of multi-screen theaters. They can show more films and have the flexibility to move lesser grossing films to smaller screening rooms. Single screen movie theaters like the Sebastiani have to agree to show first-run films for a longer run than is profitable.

Why don’t you have more live events?

Distribution contracts require that films be shown on weekends and for uninterrupted periods of time, so it’s hard to do both

Is the Sebastiani Theatre a nonprofit?

Not yet, but soon it will merge with the Sebastiani Theatre Foundation, and will become eligible for more funds for operations and special programming

What is the Sebastiani Theatre Foundation (SBT)?

The Sebastiani Theatre Foundation (STF) is a non-profit organization governed by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors, with an Advisory Board composed of a wide range of business professionals.

The Sebastiani Theatre Foundation was established in 2008 and incorporated in 2009. It has full legal status as a non-profit corporation, and has 501(c)(3) charitable status. The Foundation has been active in making physical improvements to the Theatre, sponsoring special events, and negotiating for the lease of the Theatre.
